Frequently Asked Questions

What types of donkeys do you offer?

We breed only miniature donkeys and micro-miniature donkeys, coming from selected bloodlines chosen for their gentleness, balance, and natural closeness to humans.

A miniature donkey is one whose adult height does not exceed approximately 90 cm at the withers, while a micro-miniature donkey does not exceed 76 cm at the withers. These are not dwarf donkeys: their small size is the result of a specific and carefully managed genetic selection. They are fully developed donkeys, harmonious, strong, and well-proportioned, simply in a small format.

Can you adopt a single donkey?

No. Donkeys are highly social animals: they absolutely need to live in groups.
Living alone leads to stress, behavioral issues, and poor welfare.
We support each family in forming a suitable, balanced, and harmonious pair.
Living with another equine (horse, pony, etc.) is possible, but it never replaces the presence of another donkey.

How does an adoption work?

Each adoption is individually supported. We present the available donkeys, answer all your questions, and guide you in choosing a companion that fits your environment and lifestyle.

Where are we located?

Our breeding farm is located in Mesas de Ibor (Cáceres, Extremadura), in a calm natural setting surrounded by meadows and oak trees. You will find a detailed map on the Who we are page.

Do you offer visits?

Yes, we offer visits by appointment.
It is an opportunity to discover our miniature donkeys, their environment, and share a special moment with them.

At what age can a donkey be adopted?

We respect each foal’s natural rhythm.
Adoption is only possible once it is gently weaned and fully ready to change environment.

What care do miniature donkeys require?

Miniature donkeys require regular attention, a calm environment, shelter, an appropriate diet, farrier care, and above all plenty of attention and gentleness.

Do you deliver the donkeys or do they need to be collected?

Transport is possible depending on the distance and conditions.
We discuss it together to find the most comfortable solution for the donkey.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes, under adult supervision. The miniature donkey is gentle, but sensitive and deserves respect.

How can you contact us?

Via our form, by email, WhatsApp, or on our social media.
We always respond with pleasure.

What is its ideal diet?

Poor, dry, good-quality hay provided all year round. Rich grass, cereals, and treats should be avoided.

Can it live in a small garden?

Even as a miniature, the donkey is still an equine that needs space, movement, and a suitable environment.
